This 5 bed house set in rural Shropshire wasn’t short of floor space, but it was broken up with a separate kitchen and dining room, breakfast area, poorly positioned utility, and conservatory.
Ke-design proposed a large open plan kitchen, a dining area to accommodate the client’s requirement of a 20-seater dining table, utility and pre-kitchen.
While the house was already 5 bedrooms, over the ground floor extension Ke-design proposed a master bedroom with ensuite and dressing area, and a sizeable laundry room next to the linen store.
With this additional bedroom and the conversion of the former dining room into a guest suite, this allowed for the loss of the smallest bedroom over the entrance hall, creating a double height entrance hall with gallery landing, which provided a wow factor entrance, something that every guest comments on.
