After establishing a connection on LinkedIn, Ke-design was invited to Newtown to meet with the CEO of Evabuild, a prominent construction company.
Evabuild had recently acquired the Ladywell shopping centre, a property in need of revitalisation located in the heart of Newtown.
Constructed in 1981, the centre comprised a disused Co-op supermarket, a covered walkway, and six small retail units, presenting an opportunity for much-needed regeneration.
Phase I of the project focused on transforming the former red brick supermarket into a cutting-edge call centre for a burgeoning vehicle tracking company. This involved creating expansive openings to introduce ample natural light into the space.
Ke-design also undertook comprehensive space planning, delineating areas for reception, team workspaces, planning zones, meeting rooms, staff facilities, and restrooms. Working within the framework of existing structural brick piers, Ke-design skillfully integrated cladding to enhance building's aesthetics.
The project received enthusiastic support from the Newtown and Llanllwchaiarn Town Council, further affirming its significance within the community.
